Our state-of-the-art online learning hub offers schools a central, one-stop-shop where they can access our comprehensive suite of online safety training, lesson plans and learning resources, anywhere, anytime.
After experiencing an exponential increase during lockdown, we now have 1000s of schools and over 100,000 users who are taking advantage of being able to continue their professional development remotely, saving schools time and money when it comes to ensuring staff are up to date with the latest DfE guidance and emerging online risks.
A 100% customer centric online learning hub
At National Online Safety, we aim to meet the needs and wants of schools through continuous two-way dialogue, responding to feedback and listening to your requirements.
We aim to provide a service that is simple to use, streamlined and straightforward, so that you can get the most out of your membership and control every aspect of your learning experience. We are proactive and we’re constantly looking for ways to evolve, improve and innovate.
That’s why we’ve recently made several improvements to our learning hub based on what our schools wanted and told us would help reduce inefficiency even further.
Our online learning hub now features the ability for schools to log all of their CPD in one place, on one platform, with one click of a button.
This means that school staff can upload, store and evidence all of their professional learning and development, whether undertaken externally or internally, offline or online, face to face or remotely, all in one central location. This includes attendance at conferences, training courses, seminars, workshops or lectures.
Within the ‘Manage users’ section of our learning hub, school managers now have the ability to filter their search to a specific role, whether this be for a DSL, learner, parent/carer, governor – making it easy to narrow and tailor your search to a respective area.
Through conversations with multi-academy trusts, group school managers can also filter between the different schools within their jurisdiction too.
To help save you time, our bulk edit feature now allows you to select multiple accounts that you wish to make changes too.
We’ve also improved our search functionality and added A-Z sorting on each tab, making it easier to find what you want, when you need it faster.
School managers can also now also send out ‘bulk reminders’ to their users to remind them to log in rather than selecting users individually. This is great feature for schools when you’re just getting started to help prompt users to start taking advantage of our training and resources.
It’s crucial to know just exactly how engaged your community is in terms of training. That’s why we’ve now given you easy-to-digest progress dials upon role filtering. These tell you how many users are registered, how many have either logged in, not started first CPD, in progress first CPD and completed first CPD in a clear and easy to view format.
As is the case in the ‘manage users’ section, group school managers can alternate between their schools to see how everyone is progressing.
In addition to percentage figures for your individual user sections, progress can be further scaled by the ‘CPD hours’ tab too – giving you the complete picture for every account within your user network. Furthermore, you can then jump into the respective user’s record, to see exactly what learning they’ve been undertaking and their development in each strand of training.
Bringing together the CPD logging capability which we spoke of previously, external CPD can also be added into your individual log – so that you can record every training day or course in one place.
We totally revamped our CPD Report area to make it more user-friendly and give our school managers a more comprehensive overview of their school’s CPD progress.
Our clear filtering systems means that you can drill down into any overarching report by ‘CPD type’, such as webinars and courses, category or user type. You can then view who has started that training, how much of it has been progressed and who has completed it. You can also view the total number of hours your school has committed to their CPD.
Do you want to manage your whole school CPD in one place? Do you want to save time, money and reduce inefficiency on paper record management?
You can receive all of the above benefits and more through our Certified School Membership.
